REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Remove:
- the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting),
- the battery tray (see Battery tray: Removal - Refitting) (MR 392, 80A, Battery).
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART CONCERNED
- Remove the pre-postheating unit mounting bolt (8).
- Disconnect the pre-postheating unit connector (9).
- Remove the pre-postheating unit.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED
- Connect the pre-postheating unit connector.
- Refit the pre-postheating unit.
- Tighten to torque the pre-postheating unit mounting nut (9 Nm).
II - FINAL OPERATION.
- Refit the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)

Remove the air filter box inlet air pipe (1).
Remove the turbocharger outlet air pipe retaining pins (2).
Remove:
the turbochar
Exhaust gas recirculation: List and location of components

K9K, and 764 or 766 or 768 or 772
First fitting of the exhaust gas cooler recirculation
assembly
(1) Exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve
(2) Exhaust gas cooler
(3) Exhaust gas inlet pipe

REMOVAL

Remove:
the glovebox (see Glovebox: Removal - Refitting)

the centre console (see Centre console: Removal
- Refitting) (MR 393, 57A, Interior equipment).
Air mixing cable: Removal - Refitting
LEFT-HAND DRIVE, and AIR CONDITIONING or STANDARD HEATING
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
Partially remove seal (1).
Remove the side panel (2).
Remove the bolt (3) from the base of the dashboard.
Unclip the trim piece (4) from the driver's side dashboard
lower cover.
