AIR CONDITIONING or CLIMATE CONTROL
Note: The evaporator is supplied already assembled in the distribution unit. (1)
REMOVAL
OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART CONCERNED
- Remove the distribution unit (see 61A, Heating, Distribution unit: Removal - Refitting, 61A- 50).
REFITTING
REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED
- Refit the distribution unit (see 61A, Heating, Distribution unit: Removal - Refitting, 61A-50).
Evaporator: Cleaning
AIR CONDITIONING or CLIMATE CONTROL
WARNING
Do not spray the cleaner via the air inlet, as this could damage the fan assembly.
REMOVAL
LEFT-HAND DRIVE
- Remove the cabin filter (see 61A, Heating, Cabin filter: Removal - Refitting, 61A-17).
- Apply the air conditioning cleaner using an extension piece.
- Spray the entire aerosol.
- Leave the product to work for 15 minutes.
- Run the fan assembly very slowly for 5 minutes.
RIGHT-HAND DRIVE
- Remove the cabin filter (see 61A, Heating, Cabin filter: Removal - Refitting, 61A-17).
- Apply the air conditioning cleaner.
- Spray the entire aerosol.
- Leave the product to work for 15 minutes.
- Run the fan assembly slowly for 5 minutes.
REFITTING
- Refit the cabin filter.
- Clip on the cabin filter.

LEFT-HAND DRIVE
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
K4J or K4M or K9K
Remove the engine cover.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
Disconnect the non-return valve (1) at the servo.
Pull and turn the non-return valve to release it from
the rubber sealing washer.
K9K
Disconn
K4J or K4M or K9K or M4R, and Left-hand Drive
REMOVAL

Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (MR 392, 02A, Lifting equipment).
Remove:
the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)

the air filter box (see Air filter unit: Removal - Refitt
