The automatic transmission series number can be found in two places: on a label on the hydraulic distributor cover (1) and etched onto the outer casing (2) on the wheel side.

I - OIL SERVICE

Remove the complete rear bench seat.
Remove:
the front seat belt support bolt (1).
the front seat belt support.
Unclip:
the rear section of the front door sill lining (3),
the rear wing panel trim at (4).
II - OPERATION
Rear panel lining: Removal - Refitting
With the engine switched off and on
level ground, the level when cold must
be between the MINI and MAXI marks
on reservoir 1.
Top this level up when cold before it
reaches the MINI mark.
When working in the engine
compartment, ensure that
the windscreen wiper stalk
is in
Engine coolant
