REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Remove:
- the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting),
- the battery tray (see Battery tray: Removal - Refitting) (MR 392, 80A, Battery).
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART CONCERNED
- Remove the pre-postheating unit mounting bolt (8).
- Disconnect the pre-postheating unit connector (9).
- Remove the pre-postheating unit.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED
- Connect the pre-postheating unit connector.
- Refit the pre-postheating unit.
- Tighten to torque the pre-postheating unit mounting nut (9 Nm).
II - FINAL OPERATION.
- Refit the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)

Remove the air filter box inlet air pipe (1).
Remove the turbocharger outlet air pipe retaining pins (2).
Remove:
the turbochar
Exhaust gas recirculation: List and location of components

First fitting of the exhaust gas cooler recirculation
assembly
(1) Exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve
(2) Exhaust gas cooler
(3) Exhaust gas inlet pipe

REMOVAL

Remove the luggage compartment carpet.

Remove the luggage compartment raised floor (1).
Remove the luggage compartment carpet (2).
Partially remove the luggage compartment seal.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
Exhaust fuel injector cooler: Removal - Refitting

Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (MR 392, 02, Lifting equipment).
Apply the discharge procedure for the exhaust injector fuel supply
system (see 19B, Exhaust, Exhaust fuel injector: Removal - Refit
