Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:

Remove:
the front wheels (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,
IMPORTANT

Remove the front wheel (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,
Wheel: Removal - Refittin
IMPORTANT
Wear protective gloves during the operation.
WARNING
Never rotate the engine anti-clockwise (timing end).
WARNING
Do not run the engine without the accessories belt
so as not to damage the crankshaft accessories
pulley.

Lock the airbag computer using the Diagnostic tool
(see Fault finding - Replacement of components)
(MR 394, 88C, Airbags and pretensioners).
Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)

Remove the centre console (
