The pressure measurement circuit must only ever be
opened at the adapters on the exhaust pipe.
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (MR 392, 02, Lifting equipment).
- Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 392, 80A, Battery).
- Remove:
- the engine cover,
- the engine undertray.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
![Renault Clio. Particle filter pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting](images/books/2116/renault_clio_particle_filter_pressure_sensor_removal_refitting_2240.jpg)
- Remove the upstream pressure measurement connection
(1) from its adapter (2) bolted to the exhaust
pipe.
WARNING
When the pressure measurement connection is
removed, the adapter must be held with a lock
spanner.
![Renault Clio. Particle filter pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting](images/books/2116/renault_clio_particle_filter_pressure_sensor_removal_refitting_2241.jpg)
- Remove the clips (3) from the heat shield.
![Renault Clio. Particle filter pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting](images/books/2116/renault_clio_particle_filter_pressure_sensor_removal_refitting_2242.jpg)
- Remove the downstream pressure measurement
connection (4) from its adapter (5) bolted onto the
exhaust pipe.
WARNING
When the pressure measurement connection is
removed, the adapter must be held with a lock
spanner.
![Renault Clio. Particle filter pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting](images/books/2116/renault_clio_particle_filter_pressure_sensor_removal_refitting_2243.jpg)
- Detach the downstream pressure measurement
connection from the heat shield.
- Remove:
- the pressure sensor nut on the steering box,
- the pressure sensor equipped with its upstream
and downstream pressure measurement connections.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
WARNING
Always replace any adapter that has been
removed from the exhaust pipe.
- In the event of replacement, torque tighten the
adapter (44 N.m).
- Coat the temperature sensor threading with ANTISEIZE
COPPER GREASE or COPPER-ALUMINIUM
LUBRICANT.
WARNING
Make sure that the grease does not run over the
threading.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Refit:
- the pressure sensor equipped with its upstream
and downstream pressure measurement connections.
- the pressure sensor nut.
- Clip the downstream pressure measurement connection
on the heat shield.
![Renault Clio. Particle filter pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting](images/books/2116/renault_clio_particle_filter_pressure_sensor_removal_refitting_2244.jpg)
- Refit the downstream pressure measurement connection
bolted to the exhaust pipe, observing an angle
of +3
